Digbit

The incumbent had fifty years to put fibre into Britain. You have £600,000, two dig crews and a licence to dig. Every street, house and shop comes from the real map.

This week's challenge
Or play a scenarioFive short challenges, each with a town, a year and a goal to reach
    1. Pick a town. Search any city, town or village and survey it. The game downloads its real streets and buildings.
    2. Open a PoP on a street. That is where your line to the internet lands.
    3. Plan duct. Hover a street to see the cheapest route, then click. Crews dig by day and every building you pass can sign up.
    4. Start small and watch the cash. Wages and offices cost about £40,000 a month before anyone pays you. Dig a few busy streets first; borrow, or take an investor's money, to go further.
    5. Survive 8pm. The whole town logs on at once. Order backhaul before the link goes red, or let auto-order do it.
    6. Grow square kilometre by square kilometre, town by town, until the whole UK is yours.
